Herbal teas and tea blends
Father Ašič's tea blends are made to the original recipes he wrote down in 1941, from herbs grown in the monastery garden at Stična. Each blend has its purpose: choose by concern, or ring the pharmacist and have one made to order.

How a blend comes about
Father Simon Ašič began writing down recipes in 1941, when he was helping people for whom wartime medicine was simply not available. We make the same blends today: by hand, in small batches, from herbs that grow in the monastery garden.
Every blend states its purpose beside its name. If you are unsure which one you want, ring the pharmacist. Tell him what is troubling you and he will tell you what is traditionally used for it. If none of the blends fits, he will make one to your order.
To brew, pour a cup of boiling water over one teaspoon of the blend, cover, leave to stand for ten minutes and strain. Exact instructions are printed on every bag.
