About this product

PuroSIT is a blend of six ingredients led by elderberry at 25 %, with mallow flower, fennel seed, camomile flower, angelica root and a pinch of thyme alongside it. It is the only blend in the collection with the berry rather than the flower of elder; the berries give the tea a dark colour and a fruity bitterness.

Father Simon Ašič recommended this blend for regular digestion and where the bowel was slow, and fennel and camomile were traditionally used for wind. It is part of the Spring Clean set and one of the best selling blends in the collection.

Preparation: Pour 3 decilitres of boiling water over two teaspoons of the blend. Leave it covered for 10 minutes, then strain. Drink it freshly made, several times a day, within 2 hours of brewing.

The blend comes in a 50 g bag, which is enough for two to three weeks of daily drinking. The herbs are dried and blended in the Father Simon Ašič Herbal Pharmacy at Stična, to the original recipe, and the composition is set out in per cent below the description. Tea is no substitute for a varied diet or for treatment; in illness, ask a doctor or a pharmacist.
