About this product
The Strengthening Tea is a blend of six ingredients led by rosehip at 30 %, with nettle leaf, oat grain, sweet woodruff, peppermint leaf and centaury alongside it. Sweet woodruff is in this blend alone and gives it the scent of hay, and centaury a slight bitterness.
Father Simon Ašič recommended the blend to those recovering, to older people and to children in the times when the body needs more; rosehip and nettle are the pair that appears most often in his notes for such times. It is the autumn banner on our home page and one of the best selling teas.
Preparation: Pour 3 decilitres of boiling water over two teaspoons of the blend. Leave it covered for 10 minutes, then strain. Drink it freshly made, several times a day, within 2 hours of brewing.
The blend comes in a 50 g bag, which is enough for two to three weeks of daily drinking. The herbs are dried and blended in the Father Simon Ašič Herbal Pharmacy at Stična, to the original recipe, and the composition is set out in per cent below the description. Tea is no substitute for a varied diet or for treatment; in illness, ask a doctor or a pharmacist.
