Description
About this product
For Children is a blend of six mild herbs in which camomile flower and rosehip share half, with blackberry leaf, fennel seed, dandelion leaf and a pinch of peppermint alongside them. All of them are among the mildest in the collection and the taste is sweetish, which children take to.
Father Simon Ašič recommended this blend to children with wind, cramp and diarrhoea; camomile and fennel were traditionally used for that. With diarrhoea a child needs fluid above all, and a doctor if it persists or comes with a fever. With children under three, ask a paediatrician before use.
Preparation: Pour 3 decilitres of boiling water over two teaspoons of the blend. Leave it covered for 10 minutes, then strain. Drink it freshly made, several times a day, within 2 hours of brewing.
The blend comes in a 50 g bag, which is enough for two to three weeks of daily drinking. The herbs are dried and blended in the Father Simon Ašič Herbal Pharmacy at Stična, to the original recipe, and the composition is set out in per cent below the description. Tea is no substitute for a varied diet or for treatment; in illness, ask a doctor or a pharmacist.
