VpresSIT

VpresSIT is a blend of five ingredients led by olive leaf at 40 %, which is in no other of Ašič's blends, with speedwell, nettle leaf, lemon balm leaf and lime blossom alongside it. The olive leaf gives the tea a slightly bitter, Mediterranean taste.

Father Simon Ašič recommended this blend where blood pressure was slightly raised, always adding that a healthy way of life and a doctor do the most. Blood pressure is measured and treated by a doctor; the tea is no substitute for prescribed medicines.

Preparation: Pour 3 decilitres of boiling water over two teaspoons of the blend. Leave it covered for 10 minutes, then strain. Drink it freshly made, several times a day, within 2 hours of brewing.

The blend comes in a 50 g bag, which is enough for two to three weeks of daily drinking. The herbs are dried and blended in the Father Simon Ašič Herbal Pharmacy at Stična, to the original recipe, and the composition is set out in per cent below the description. Tea is no substitute for a varied diet or for treatment; in illness, ask a doctor or a pharmacist.
