About this product

VetroviSIT is a blend of five ingredients in which aniseed and fennel seed share three fifths, with camomile flower, caraway seed and sweet flag rhizome alongside them. Anise and fennel give the tea its sweetish, fragrant taste, and sweet flag a bitter finish.

Father Simon Ašič recommended it for wind and cramp after a meal; fennel, caraway and anise were traditionally used for that. For babies the collection holds the milder BebeSIT.

Preparation: Pour 3 decilitres of boiling water over two teaspoons of the blend. Leave it covered for 10 minutes, then strain. Drink it freshly made, several times a day, enriched if you like with a spoonful of apple cider vinegar.

The blend comes in a 50 g bag, which is enough for two to three weeks of daily drinking. The herbs are dried and blended in the Father Simon Ašič Herbal Pharmacy at Stična, to the original recipe, and the composition is set out in per cent below the description. Tea is no substitute for a varied diet or for treatment; in illness, ask a doctor or a pharmacist.
