About this product
NočSIT is an evening blend of five herbs in which passionflower, valerian root and lemon balm leaf share three quarters in equal parts, with wild thyme and hop cones alongside them. Valerian gives the tea its distinctive earthy scent, which many do not care for but which is the sign that the root is genuine.
Father Simon Ašič recommended this blend where falling asleep was difficult and restlessness a trouble; valerian, hops and passionflower were traditionally used for that. A herb does not work at once; the tea is drunk regularly, in the evening, over several weeks. If the trouble persists, see a doctor.
Preparation: Pour 3 decilitres of boiling water over two teaspoons of the blend. Leave it covered for 10 minutes, then strain. Drink the freshly made infusion an hour before bed.
The blend comes in a 50 g bag, which is enough for two to three weeks of daily drinking. The herbs are dried and blended in the Father Simon Ašič Herbal Pharmacy at Stična, to the original recipe, and the composition is set out in per cent below the description. Tea is no substitute for a varied diet or for treatment; in illness, ask a doctor or a pharmacist.
