About this product
Acacia honey is the palest and mildest honey we sell: almost clear, mild and floral, with no pronounced aroma, so it does not drown the taste of the tea it sweetens. Of all the honeys it stays liquid the longest.
Use: to sweeten tea and other drinks, on bread, in curd cheese or yoghurt, poured over pancakes. Father Simon Ašič held honey to be the best sweetener for a herbal tea, added only once the tea has cooled a little.
The honey comes from the Kastelic apiary, a few kilometres from Stična; we sell it in the herbal pharmacy because it is what customers most often sweeten Ašič's teas with. The jar holds 900 g. Honey crystallises in time, which is a sign that it is genuine rather than a fault; a short warming in hot water makes it liquid again. Not suitable for children under one year of age.
Use
To sweeten tea and other drinks, on bread or in curd cheese. Acacia honey stays liquid longer than the others, so it also pours well.
