About the flavoured vinegars
What the ratio on the label means
The addition is not stirred into finished vinegar. It steeps in the vinegar while it matures. Every product states the ratio by weight, 1 : 9 in the horseradish vinegar for instance, that is one part horseradish to nine parts vinegar.
Garlic, horseradish, wild garlic and walnut give the vinegar a pronounced, pungent taste and are often used for salads and marinades. The honey vinegar is milder and sweeter.
Vinegar is a food. It is traditionally taken diluted with water or used in cooking.
