Tea for a baby: the herbal pharmacy's answer

Published 1 min read

Tea for a baby

Customer's question

My baby has cramps in the tummy and cries at night. Can a baby drink tea, and which?

The pharmacist's answer

With a baby, the first rule is to talk to the paediatrician or the visiting nurse about anything new. Cramps in the first months are common and usually pass by themselves, without anything at all.

The blend BebeSIT is meant precisely for babies and children troubled by wind and cramps in the belly. It contains herbs traditionally used for this, and fennel and anise are among them.

Make it weak, give it lukewarm and by the teaspoon, not as a replacement for milk.

If the baby vomits, has a fever, blood in the stool or is not gaining weight, this is not a matter for a tea: see a doctor at once.
