Herbs during pregnancy: the herbal pharmacy's answer

Published 1 min read

Herbs during pregnancy

Customer's question

I am pregnant. Which teas may I drink, and which not?

The pharmacist's answer

We answer this question carefully, and the answer is shorter than you would like: for every herb during pregnancy, talk to your own gynaecologist or midwife. We cannot know your pregnancy.

What we can say in general: during pregnancy many herbs are not advised. This is not true only of the rare and exotic ones; sage and wormwood are among those we avoid in this period, as are essential oils for internal use.

That is why we write on our blends who they are not meant for, and we ask you to read it.

If you became pregnant while drinking any of the blends regularly, stop and talk to your doctor.

This answer is general in nature and does not replace a visit to the doctor. The products are foods or cosmetic products and do not replace medical treatment.
