Willowherb Drops

Willowherb drops are an extract of small-flowered willowherb (Epilobium parviflorum) in a water and alcohol solution, at a ratio by weight of 1 : 6. The taste is mild and faintly astringent. In folk tradition small-flowered willowherb is taken by men in later life. Father Simon Ašič put it into the Men's Tea, which is what customers most often order the drops with. Prostate trouble calls for an examination by a doctor, and the drops are no substitute for one. The drops are made in the Father Simon Ašič Herbal Pharmacy at Stična by steeping the plant in a water and alcohol solution; the ratio is given under the composition. Dose: 15 drops in a cup of tea or water, three times a day. They contain alcohol and are not suitable for children, or for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
