Stična Bitters, 200 ml

The Stična bitters are made after the manner of the Swedish bitters that folk tradition associates with the Austrian herbalist Maria Treben. The recipe for ours was put together by Father Ašič. The bitters are used as a help with digestive trouble and to encourage the appetite. The bitter principles in some herbs work on the taste: the mouth waters, and the digestion is set going by the taste itself. Plants that are not markedly bitter are added as well, among them anise, fennel and caraway. This is the larger bottle, 200 ml; a 100 ml bottle is on the same shelf. Take a spoonful mixed with water, three times a day, before or after a meal. Contains alcohol; not suitable for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
