About this product
Jabolčni kis: v ljudskem zdravilstvu in kulinariki s patrom Simonom Ašičem 140 pages, 170 x 220 mm, hardback, published 2017 ISBN 978-961-278-343-3
The book is in Slovenian. It follows the knowledge of apple cider vinegar that Father Simon Ašič left behind the monastery walls: what folk tradition made of it, and what it is good for in an everyday kitchen.
Barbara Kozan, a master of pharmacy, saw to the technical side. The monastery cook Metod Borštar added a handful of recipes, the ethnologist Professor Janez Bogataj set vinegar in its cultural history, and the photographer Manca Jevšček added a look into Cistercian life.
