About this product
Artichoke drops are an extract of artichoke leaf (Cynara scolymus) in a water and alcohol solution, at a ratio by weight of 1 : 6. The taste is markedly bitter, as with all bitters, and they are taken diluted, best before a meal.
In folk tradition artichoke is taken before a meal, and Father Simon Ašič placed it among the plants for the liver and gall bladder. Customers most often order the drops together with the HoleSIT tea. With a blocked bile duct or gallstones, ask a doctor before use.
The drops are made in the Father Simon Ašič Herbal Pharmacy at Stična by steeping the plant in a water and alcohol solution; the ratio is given under the composition. Dose: 15 drops in a cup of tea or water, three times a day. They contain alcohol and are not suitable for children, or for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep out of reach of children. The drops are no substitute for treatment.
