How to take apple cider vinegar: the herbal pharmacy's answer

Published 1 min read

Ašič's Home-made Apple Cider Vinegar

Customer's question

I bought Ašič's apple cider vinegar. How much should I drink, and when?

The pharmacist's answer

First, what vinegar is not: it is not a medicine and it is not a means of losing weight, however much is written about that.

Ašič's Home-made Apple Cider Vinegar is made from Slovenian apples and in our house it is used above all in the kitchen, in salads and marinades, as a vinegar with flavours for dishes.

Whoever drinks it always dilutes it: a spoonful in a glass of water, never neat. Undiluted vinegar damages the enamel of the teeth and burns the gullet.

Rinse your mouth with water afterwards and do not brush your teeth straight away.

With stomach trouble, reflux or an ulcer, talk to your doctor before taking it regularly.

    Fasting and herbs

In the monastery fasting is a yearly rhythm, not a diet. Herbs accompanied it as a support, not as a substitute for food.
